It’s a “big bright beautiful world” for everyone’s favorite ogre in Shrek The Musical, based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film and the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.
In a faraway kingdom, the green ogre Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits, runaways cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task: if he rescues the feisty Princess Fiona from her dragon-guarded tower, his swamp will be returned to him.
Part romance and part twisted fairy tale, this irreverently fun show has a powerful message for the whole family — about friendship, loyalty, and embracing what makes you different.
